1. Online bidding begins on Thu, Sep 28 at 9 am Central Standard Time (CST) and ends at 11 AM (CST) on Sun, Oct 8, 2023.
   NOTE: Bidding Owl software is set for Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is one hour ahead of CST - so please be aware when placing your bid(s).
2. Item pickup/payment:  Sun, October 8:  1pm-3:30pm in the back of St. Olaf 's Parish Center.  After that, pick-up Mon-Fri at Parish Center during normal working hours.   Call Steve Miller @ 608-556-3149 for other arrangements. 
3. Winning bidders will be notified by Bidding Owl via email after the auction ends Sun, Oct 8 shortly after 11 am.
4. Payment for items purchased must be made in full at the time of pickup. All items, including gift cards/certificates shall be picked up at the St. Olaf Parish Center, 615 Jefferson St., DeForest, WI 53532.
   • Credit Card payments may be made ONLY BEFORE PICK-UP using the PAYPAL link provided in the Bidding Owl platform.     
   • We accept CASH or CHECK at the time of pickup.  NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED AT ST. OLAF at time of pick-up. 
   • Checks should be made payable to St. Olaf Catholic Church.

   
   
5. St. Olaf Church reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the Online Silent Auction.
6. By bidding in the Online Silent Auction, each bidder agrees to the following auction rules:You may bid on any number of items in the Silent Auction until closing time and date as listed above.
   • Restaurant certificates do not include alcohol, tax, or gratuities unless specified.

   
   
7. You must be 21 years of age or older to bid on any item that contains alcohol. You must provide pictured ID (Driver's License) at the time of pick-up to verify your age.
8. Auction item purchases are final. No returns or exchanges. All items are “as is.” St. Olaf has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in this online silent auction, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.
9. St. Olaf Catholic Church provides no guarantees, warranties, or servicing of auction items and is not liable for any personal injury or damage to property that may result from the use of the item or service sold.
10. Being the winning bidder at an auction is a contract between the buyer and the seller.  By registering and bidding within our online auction, you are agreeing to take responsibility for your bids.
11. In the event of a dispute, the two Virtual Silent Auction Co-Chairs will act as the final authority.
