Annual Youth Art Contest Auction

 

Welcome to the online auction site of the Allegany County Animal Shelter Second Annual Youth Art Contest!

BIDDING BEGINS MAY 13 and ENDS June 19, 2016.

Please support us by bidding on a piece of art that has been specifically created and donated to us by a local student.   Not only will you help the animal shelter, but  our budding young artists will be excited to see that someone loves their artwork enough to pay for it!  It's a win-win!

Just looking? How to browse by category:

  1. Click on an age category in the "BROWSE CATEGORY" menu if you would like to browse by age.
  2. Or click on "View all items" if you would like to browse all art work.

Looking for work done by a particular student?

If you would like to find artwork done by your favorite young artist, you can search by student first name and last initial, title of work, school or item number.

From a desktop computer:

  1. Enter search terms in the first search box above (if you know the item number, put it here)
  2. Make sure "All items" is selected in the second search box
  3. Select a category in the third search box (or select "All categories" if age group is unknown)
  4. Note:  For privacy reasons, only the first letter of the student's last name is recorded.  When searching by name, use only the first name and last initial.

From a cell phone:

  1. Enter search terms in the search box and click "Find"
  2. Note:  For privacy reasons, only the first letter of the student's last name is recorded.  When searching by name, use only the first name and last initial.

 Bidding on a work:

If you would like to bid on an artwork, you will need to create a Bidding Owl account. 

  1. You will be prompted to create an account the first time you attempt to bid on something, or you can create it now by going to the bidder sign up page at https://www.biddingowl.com/Auction/Bidders/sign-in.cfm
  2. You can use your cell phone to place bids.
  3. You can also be notified by text message to your cell phone or by email if you are outbid on an item. Be sure to check the appropriate box when you create your account.
  4. You do not need to provide payment information until you have successfully won an item at the conclusion of the auction.

All proceeds will benefit the shelter veterinary care fund.

Auction begins on May 13th at 12:01am.

Auction concludes on June 19th at 11:59pm
