Love Living at Home Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Online Auction

Love Living at Home (LLH) is pleased to announce that, in celebration of its fifth anniversary, the organization is hosting an online auction.  There are more than 30 items in the auction, with something for everyone, from vacation properties, an opportunity to bid on a much-beloved Central NY band,  to artwork by local artists. We would like to thank our corporate sponsors, Tompkins Trust Company and Tompkins Financial Advisors for supporting our fundraising efforts and for being one of our original Founding Sponsors.

The auction will begin on Sunday, October 10^th at 5:00 am and end on Sunday, October 24^th at 12:00 midnight.

Love Living at Home (LLH) is a not-for-profit that has been serving members throughout Tompkins County since 2016. A grass-roots membership organization modeled on a national aging-in-place initiative, LLH is a gateway to relationships and resources for adults 62 years of age and older who desire to continue living in the homes and neighborhoods they love. The organization is a welcoming network of people helping people and offers programs that enrich life and forge connections for new relationships. If you would also like to make a monetary donation please click here.  There are 2 options to donate.  One is to our general fund.  The other is to support our sponsorship fund, which offers financial aid to people who may not be able to afford the membership fee.  From the beginning LLH has been committed to making membership  available to everyone who is 62 or older and lives in Tompkins County.

Since the early days of the pandemic and throughout the last 18 months, LLH’s dedicated volunteers provided 3,654 services to our members.  LLH helped people sign up for the vaccine and coordinated rides to doctor’s and vaccine appointments, as well as assisting with grocery shopping, picking up prescription medications, and helping our members combat the socially isolating impact of the pandemic.  Along with numerous services, LLH has offered a wide variety of over 350 programs to our members, and throughout the pandemic, to the community at large.
